The Process
The process can work in two ways: a) the illustration can be produced without the recipient knowing anything – careful planning will be required regarding the reference photography or b) a personalised voucher can be produced for you to give on the occasion so that the planning arrangements can be made with the recipient's knowledge.
At our initial meeting I will bring along samples for you to view. We can then discuss what you had in mind to illustrate.
If it is to be a surprise, we can then plan when it would be convenient to take the reference photography that may be required before work can start on the illustration. The timescale of production will depend on such things as availability and complexity of the subject, but usually it will take about 4 to 5 weeks after reference photography has been taken. The size of the final illustration will be within an A3 area and where possible I will endeavour to deliver the illustration to you myself.
