Benefits
When a photograph is taken it takes in everything seen within the frame. If, however, you only wanted a certain element within that picture it can be lost amongst the rest of the image. The benefit of an illustration is that you can select your subject matter and concentrate the eye on what you wish to see, and take out what you don’t. Being a black and white illustration, there will be no problems of fitting in with current or future colour schemes. The below example shows how I tidied-up the bushes, removed aerials and alarm boxes. The emphasis is on the main subject and surroundings can be reduced in strength to enhance the overall image.
